NYFPN Reading Group January Meeting - As we announced during Anton's talk on financial contracts, we are spinning off a "reading group" which we expect some subset of the NYPFN group will be interested in. Implementation for "Composing contracts" talk available - I've posted the Haskell implementation for my November talk on "Composing Contracts" at: http://contracts.scheming.org/ It's a self-contained literate Haskell program which can easily be run in a recent version of GHCI. Talk from Don Syme (Microsoft Research) on F# - Don Syme will be in town on December 11th/12th and has offered to give us a talk. Don works for Microsoft Research and created the F# - an implementation of ML for .Net. He was also deeply involved in enhancing the .Net runtime to support generic types.
